A renovated six-unit building in Oakland offers permanent supportive housing for six individuals or families who are homeless, ending that chapter of their lives.  

The Brian T. Danforth House, located at 44 Fairfield Street in Oakland, is a joint collaboration between Community Housing of Maine which owns and manages the property, the Department of Veterans Affairs (Togus VA Medical Center) which provides referrals and support services to the individuals who call this their home, and other local service providers which provide referrals, case management, and community supports to assist each resident ensuring that their individual success is achieved.
