Charles Street offers four (4) units of permanent supportive housing for adults with disabilities.
This project, located at 53 Charles Street in Bangor, is a joint collaboration between Community Housing of Maine which owns and manages the property, the Bangor Area Homeless Shelter, which provides referrals and support services to the individuals who call this their home, Community Health and Counseling Services, which provides case management and community supports to assist each resident ensuring that their individual goals are addressed, and The Acadia Hospital, which provides additional referrals and supportive services.
The building features handicap accessibility, laundry, and a common room for programming and support of the community of residents.
