DHHS OFFICE OF BEHAVIORAL HEALTH HOUSING SERVICES
Maine's DHHS Office of Behavioral Health (OBH) recognizes that safe, stable, and affordable housing is essential to the health and well-being of many individuals living with disabilities. Access to independent housing can support recovery, strengthen personal autonomy, and promote both civil and disability rights. It also reduces reliance on costly institutional care. OBH oversees several housing initiatives designed to help individuals experiencing homelessness or housing instability secure and maintain housing.
